This video embedded below is a montage from a who’s who in venture capital. It really hits the nail on the head with respect as to why we should all care about cryptocurrencies and block-chain technologies.
The part that really resonates with me is the potential for this technology to solve the identity crisis we have right now with a decentralized approach where the end-user maintains control of their own identity and can manage their own reputation. This remains a devilishly hard set of problems to address and block-chain/crypto are a part of the solution, much work to do here.
I believe this is the infrastructure that will propel us into the Web 3.0 world.
